qenep

Qenep is an architecture office, a design studio; a place where space and object come together. We are designers who feel that spaces and objects depend on each other and for this reason our projects try to create allround solutions, be it in architecture, industrial design or other kind of projects. Educating, collaborating with other professionals, letting users participate in the creative process and stimulating other peoples' creative spirit is part of our work as well.

History
After a fruitful partnership of a few years at Architectuurwerkplaats De Ruimte, Sebastiaan Veldhuisen and Job Nieman started qenep at the end of 2004. De Ruimte started as a partnership of Veldhuisen and Iris de Kievith and Iris Schutten in 1994 as a continuation of their study at the Delft University of Technology. Later on Klaske Havik and Job Nieman joined forces. With the arrival of Job Nieman the fusion between architecture and product design started. As De Ruimte evolved into two separate companies (Insitu Architecten and qenep) this fusion became the basis for the way of working at qenep.
